Vote for your favorite Ohio State Park

It’s OFFICIAL! Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted have issued a proclamation recognizing April 22-April 29, 2022 as Ohio State Parks Week. Join the Ohio State Parks Foundation in celebrating Ohio State Parks Week by VOTING for your favorite park, and reflecting on what Ohio State Parks mean to YOU.

We invite you to think about your favorite park, and what it truly means to you. If you love Ohio State Parks like many of the other 31 million annual visitors, you likely have many fond memories of hikes, picnics, camping trips, and more. Whether it’s with family, friends, or alone in a quiet spot by your favorite tree or favorite creek, Ohio State Parks mean so much to so many…

As a bonus, one lucky voter will win a a 2-night camping stay at any Ohio State park of their choice (depending on availability) and an official Ohio State Parks Passport shown here: https://www.reserveohio.com/OhioCampWeb/Merchandise/MerchandiseSale.aspx

The week kicks off on Earth Day and wraps up on Arbor Day – both important initiatives and celebrations of nature, the environment, and community. It’s also the heart of spring, as waterfalls and creeks rush through the parks, flowing with life from the Spring rain. Wildflowers are in full bloom, reaching towards the sun. It is without a doubt one of the most wonderful times to experience nature and our Ohio State Parks.

Ohio State Parks are one of only seven state park systems in the nation where park admission remains free and accessible to all. Because of this, everyone can enjoy the benefits of our parks—whether it be by wandering trails, attending community events, spending time with friends, or simply finding moments of quiet respite in the outdoors.
