We recently celebrated several big “reveals” in the past couple of months starting with an accessible playground at Dillon. We also funded ADA picnic tables, a pollinator garden and sensory path at Van Buren, and an accessible kayak launch at Wingfoot. All of these enhancements were made possible through generous donations from several sources, including community foundations and Goodyear.
Dillon State Park
Last month, Dillon State Park opened its new inclusive playground for kids of all abilities to enjoy! Thanks to the Ohio State Parks Foundation and the Straker Foundation for making this accessible play area possible! The playground features a ground-level ramp entrance, accessible activity panels, a multi-use swing, a slide and so much more.
Van Buren State Park
May was a busy month at Van Buren State Park. We are grateful to The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation for their incredible sponsorship, making possible the creation of a Pollinator Garden, Sensory Path, and ADA Picnic Tables within the park.
Wingfoot Lake State Park
We are so proud to highlight the new ADA-compliant kayak launch that was recently dedicated earlier this month.
